OPPT – Outside Perimeter Preventive Treatments - This is one of the most common treatments done by Olympic Spray Service. It is essential for carpenter ant control, moisture ant and odorous house ant control. Spiders are very affected by the OPPT. Wasps tend to not nest on a structure treated with an OPPT.
Fleas, cockroaches, bedbugs, flies, sowbugs, earwigs and food product pests are commonly taken care of by Olympic Spray Service.
Termite Control including dampwood and subterranean are treated by Olympic Spray Service. Very often for dampwood it is a concern to remove the source of moisture that makes the wood damp enough for this termite to survive. Teh subterranean termite does not need damp wood. She will live in the soil and come up to the building to eat the wood of the structure.
Dormant spraying of fruit trees is done by Olympic Spray Service from November through the first of March. More than one treatment is often needed.
Olympic Spray Service will pretreat structures with Borates during their construction. That is the best time (and the only time) that a structure can be treated to prevent many of the problems that can infest structures.
Anobiid beetle treatment (often known as Powder Post Beetles) is done at any time. Treating with Tim-bor in a warm solution of water, a foaming agent and an insecticide is commonly done by Olympic Spray Service. This is more costly than done by other firms. Olympic Spray likes to do the ultimate treatment and can be easily underbid by other pest control firms. (Do not compare apples to oranges.) Tim-bor will not form a 15% solution in 50°F water. It must be heated. No other firm uses a foaming agent. The foaming agent can cause up to four times as much Boron to be absorbed into the wood. This treatment is usually only done once. Make sure it is done by the ultimate solution as done by Olympic Spray Service.
Weed Control and Fertilizing are done for customers desiring this service.
Horticulture spraying is done for insects and diseases. This maybe done for roses, lawns, small fruits, tree injections, soil injections, bark application, crane fly, leaf miners, tip moth, mites, tent caterpillar or grass weevils.
Pruning can be done during the winter time when we are not as busy.
Slug and snail control can be done with safe materials that convert into fertilizers that will not poison your pets.
Moss control for roofs and lawns is done with Zinc Sulfate or Amonium Ferrosulfate.
Shake and shingle oil treatment. This helps to extend the life of your roof.
Rodents including rats and mice. We often want to do exclusion of the rats or mice from the crawlspace or home. Sometimes this does not work out. We then need to convert the customer to a monthly or quarterly account for continued elimination of the rodents.
Moles are usually baited. This is not guaranteed as more moles can move in from the surrounding areas.
Bats The Washington State Department of Game or Wild life will only allowus to exclude bats when they are gone in the winter. Some bats do not leave during the winter.
Birds are not often done by Olympic Spray Service. The products used are often costly. If you are willing to commit the funds to solving the problem we will help you.
Mold is caused by too much moisture inside of your structure. We often recommend that a Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) system be installed. Our least expensive unit costs $1075. plus installation. The cost of installation depends on the structure but often costs about $1,000. Icynene Insulation helps the HRV to do its job.
Wasps become a problem in June, July, August and the first part of September.

Odor control. We will provide you with an odor eliminator that costs $15. including tax.
Icynene Insulation is the best insulation you can put into your home. It is more expensive that fiber insulation; however, it solves many problems that occur with fiber insulation products. Icynene takes a bit of education and a change in the away you think about insulation. Icynene is an air barrier that prevents water dissolved in the air as humidity (vapor) from entering the wall void or against the underlayment of the roof.
