Icynene Insulation is an Air Barrier
If you are considering Icynene for insulation of your home, please consider the following: Icynene will cut your heating bill in half. You do not have to do an air seal as the Icynene does that automatically as we install it. You can use one-half the heating system. You should use one-half the air conditioning system. Do not use the largest system as recommended by the engineers. You do not need to install ventilators in the roof, soffits or roof jacks. (That is required for fiber insulation as it leaks air.)
