This rododendron touching the siding and the roofing of the structure is a real problem when it comes to the control of carpenter ants.    Insects live on the plants.  The insect juices within is food for the carpenter ant.  Aphids eating or sucking on the plant have nectar that flows right through them and the ant will consume this nectar as it comes out of the aphid.  Read the rest of this entry »
