Fiberglass Installed Upside Down

Fiberglass insulation installed upside down.  This is common as people want to staple with the tabs that are meant for installing to the studs.  The paper should be installed to the warm side of the floor.  This insulation should be removed and replaced with Icynene Insulation.  The energy savings would be amazing.  Call Olympic Spray Service to remove this insulation and install Icynene Iinsulation.  Call us at 457-4341 or 1-800-828-5508.

Icynene is an Air Barrier for Sure

Icynene is an air barrier.  That means that water that is disolved in the air cannot get into the insulation or the wall void.  The water cannot reach the dew point where it would turn into liquid water.  The liquid water could raise the moisture content of the wood until fungus rot could survive.  Water that is disolved in the air (as a vapor) can move through fiberglas, celulose or any other fiber insulation and cause problems with fungus rot.  Prevent fungus rot, call us at 457-4341, 379-3862 or 1-800-828-5508.
