Moles

Mole

Moles are usually eating earthworms.  One of the ways of getting rid of the moles is to get rid of the earthworms. This is not environmentally sensible.  We can poison the moles by using mole bait.  We use Talpirid.  It works when the worms are placed properly.  We can get rid of the moles, but they will return from other areas eventually. For this reason it is not possiblefor us to guarantee the mole treatment.  We will come back once in less than 60 days. After that it is necessary to charge another applicator fee and $5. per worm.  Some people have sworn that using Juciy Fruit gum to get rid of the moles.  If that works for you, go for it.

Tent Caterpillars

Tent caterpillars hatch when leaves become available.

Tent Caterpillars

Tent caterpillars tend to become a problem as soon as the leaves come out in the late winter or early spring.  Dormant spraying will wipe out the possibility of these creatures of even showing up on your trees.  You wonder if it did any good. The spray oil will tend to cover their spiracles through which they breathe. This sufficates the worm causing it to die.  The lime sulfur in the spray burns the spores that would make the black spots on the fruit.

If you would like dormant spraying of your orchard please call us at 457-4341 or 1-800-828-5508.

Round Worms in a Cat

This picture shows round worms that were “barfed” up by my cat. This is a Veterinary Problem not a Pest Control Problem.

My wife bought some medicine from a Pet store to add to the cats food.  These could have been injested from a flea, a bird or a rodent that the cat may have eaten.  Usually she is an indoor cat.  If you have Fleas then that is a Pest Control problem.  Give us a call at 457-4341 or 1-800-828-5508 if you feel that you have a problem with fleas.
