Silverfish Destroy Paper

Silverfish are often found around homes in Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Sequim and Forks. They are commonly spotted in linen closets, dresser drawers, hidden in a crack or crevis or under clothing. They will attack any clothing that is startched.    Silverfish tend to deposit their fecal material on the horizontal joists in attics.  The main damage that silverfish do inside homes is to paper goods.  They go after wall paper and the starch behind it.  They go after book bindings and the glue used to bind them.  They ruin stored documents and family pictures that have been stored away. If you find that you have silverfish just give us a call at 1-360-457-4341 or 1-800-828-5508.  Silverfish can also be found outside in the summer time.
