The beetle that causes the most damage on the Olympic Peninsula.  These beetles are known as Anobiid beetles.  They usually emerge in late July or August.  It is very unlikely that you will ever see the adult beetle.  By September the adults are gone.  What is seen is the emergence holes in the timbers or structural wood.  Read the rest of this entry »
